Department of Physical Therapy

Physical therapy or Physiotherapy is the health care profession primarily concerned with the diagnosis and the remediation of impairments by physical intervention. Through this specialty, a student is made aware of the concept of service in the field of physiotherapy through the study of all requirements of the profession (e.g. information, skills, and behavior). It is concerned with the promotion of human health, the prevention of disability, and the evaluation and rehabilitation of patients disabled by pain, disease, or injury. A physical therapist can be a specialist in any branch of physical therapy.

Physical therapists assume leadership roles in the rehabilitation of sports injuries, orthopedic disorders, neurological diseases, cerebral palsy, cardiopulmonary disorders, geriatrics, post-surgical and burns units.

Conditions for admission of high school graduates:

General Terms:

1. He must have a high school diploma or equivalent from inside or outside the kingdom.

2. To be of good conduct.

3. Not have passed more than five years after obtaining the high school diploma or its equivalent.

4. To successfully pass any test or personal interview deemed necessary by the College Council.

5. To be medically fit.

6. To obtain approval to study from his employer, if he works in any governmental or private authority.

7. He must not have been dismissed from any other university or college for a disciplinary term.

8. Submit the required documents specified by the Admission and Registration Unit.

9. Fill out the registration form.

10. Payment of registration fees (deducted from tuition fees).

Preference terms for high school graduates wishing to enroll in health specialties:

The desire of the student.

Average student score.

Sections capacity or needs.

Conditions for applying to the internal scholarship program for new high school graduates:

- He must be a Saudi national.

The general secondary school certificate must not be less than 80%.

The capacity test rate should not be less than 65%, and the achievement test will be 60%.
