Architecture Engineering Program
About:
The Architecture Engineering Program is considered one of the newest programs in Buraydah colleges, as it was established in the year 1441 AH. The Architecture Engineering Program in Buraydah Colleges is designed to provide developed and accredited engineering education to satisfy the job market’s needs, that support the National Development Plans through:
Compensate the shortage of Architecture Engineers in KSA.
Reduce the level of dependency on foreign Architecture Engineers.
Support the Kingdom's Development Plans, particularly in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
Graduate qualified engineers for advanced AREN studies.
Provide the necessary services for the community in the Architecture Engineering field.
The program currently includes 10 faculty members, including (2) associated professors, and (8) The department is also equipped with highly efficient laboratories that cover all specialization requirements.

5th Year – Level 9
Credit Hours: 3, Theory(2), Lab/Studio, Tutorial(1)
Pre-requisite: AREN 428The aim of this course is to present students with the principles and practice of sustainability issues as they relate to the built environment and its many stakeholders: practice of creating building structures and using processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building's life-cycle: from siting to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and deconstruction. This practice expands and complements the classical building design concerns of economy, utility, durability, and comfort. It addresses the full range of issues associated with sustainable buildings, including energy consumption, use of materials, health, assessment methods, and environmental concerns. It discusses the issues through lectures, tutorials and case study reviews that identify how they are integrated into the design of buildings.
