Computer Engineering
Department of Computer Engineering
Courses offered by the department cater to the needs of local and international students who wish to pursue a career in the challenging areas of Computing and Electronics. The region in general and Saudi, in particular, has witnessed tremendous growth in these areas in the recent past. Developments in Computing, Communication, and IT have dramatically changed the way people live and do business. Saudi is always in front of adopting new technologies. The Vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a clear focus on non-oil based small scale industries which will attract more investment in Electronic, Instrumentation, Computing, Telecom, IT and Energy sectors in the near future.
The course materials offered by the department are contemporary and highly job oriented. A team of trained and competent faculties and staff ensures a technology-oriented student-centered learning environment. Laboratory facilities are constantly updated to cater to the rapid changes in the technologies related to the core programs offered. Strong industry linkage and invited speeches by industrial experts are regular features of our course delivery thereby giving students a strong
Department of Computer Engineering was established in 1430 and has grown over the last 10 years into a full-fledged department with its faculty members with excellent academic records. The department is committed to provide quality education and produce competent engineers to meet with the growing demand for professionals in Computer.
The graduates from this department have gone on to pursue careers as network engineers, design engineers, software/hardware engineers, application programmers, system analysts, system administrators, and database administrators.
With a dedicated team of staff, the department takes pride in providing learning experience and laboratory facilities second to none. A small student-to-teacher ratio enables individual attention to the students by the faculty. Also, the personal tutoring system provides an excellent opportunity for personal and academic counseling. Students will find here an educational experience that will prepare them for an exciting and rewarding career and their bright future unfurls here.
