The Educational Affairs Department at Buraydah Colleges represents a cornerstone in advancing the Colleges’ strategic goals and fulfilling their core mission of delivering high-quality education. The department is committed to overseeing and continuously enhancing the educational process across all academic programs, aiming to establish a professional and institutional framework grounded in collaboration and a strong team spirit.

With a clear focus on academic excellence, the department works to foster an effective learning environment that supports students, faculty members, and academic leadership alike. Its efforts are geared toward producing distinguished graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills that align with labor market demands.

This is achieved through the ongoing development of academic performance, regular evaluation of study plans, and continuous improvement of academic programs in accordance with national development plans and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The department also strives to meet the standards of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) to ensure the highest levels of academic service quality for all stakeholders.

The department’s strategic plan is fully aligned with the broader strategic objectives of Buraydah Colleges. Its vision is to elevate the standards of teaching and learning among private higher education institutions locally, while its mission is centered on building an effective educational environment that meets labor market needs and promotes community engagement in line with quality standards.

The Educational Affairs sector at Buraydah Colleges encompasses a group of specialized departments that operate in full alignment with the Colleges’ overall strategic plan. These departments play a vital role in enhancing the educational process, ensuring academic quality, and achieving learning outcomes that align with labor market demands.

Below are the key departments under Educational Affairs:


First: Learning Department

This department focuses on supporting digital education and distance learning, while fostering an engaging academic environment for both faculty and students.

Objective:

Integrate technology into academic courses, provide technical support, and design e-learning materials that meet academic standards.

Second: Laboratories and Equipment Department

Responsible for overseeing and improving the performance of laboratories, clinics, and practical facilities across the Colleges.

Objective:

Optimize the use of technical resources and equipment to ensure high-quality hands-on learning experiences.

Third: Students and Alumni Affairs Department

Supports students throughout their academic journey and continues to engage with them after graduation through four key divisions:

  • Student Activities: Develop students' social and cultural skills through events, forums, and extracurricular initiatives.
  • Career Planning and Guidance: Strengthen alumni relations and leverage their expertise to enhance the College's institutional image.
  • Academic Advising: Provide academic and psychological support in coordination with academic departments.
  • Alumni Affairs: Maintain continuous engagement with graduates to support their professional integration and community involvement.

Fourth: Central Library:

An advanced information platform that provides access to up-to-date academic resources for students and researchers.

Objective:

Facilitate access to diverse sources of knowledge and organize information using modern technologies to support education and research.

Fifth: Field Training and Internship Department:

Oversees the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application through partnerships with relevant professional sectors.

Objective:

Provide real-world training experiences that prepare students to meet workforce expectations.


Sixth: Curriculum and Academic Program Department

Specialized in designing and developing academic plans that meet accreditation standards and respond to evolving market needs.

Objective:

  • Align academic programs with national and international accreditation standards.
  • Foster partnerships with public and private sectors.
  • Promote academic collaboration with local and regional institutions.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve academic programs in cooperation with the Quality and Accreditation Center.


3. Academic Advising Department

General Objective:

  The Academic Advising Department in Buraydah Colleges is responsible for providing academic and psychological guidance and advising services to students and coordinating with the scientific departments in order to achieve the effectiveness and efficiency of the educational process in the colleges.

4.Graduate Affairs Department:

General objective:

The Graduate Affairs Department works to provide a distinguished service to students who are expected to graduate from college programs and students who have already graduated, and to follow them up periodically and effectively in contact with the community.

Fifth: The Central Library:

It is a department that is concerned with providing advanced information services by collecting, organizing and disseminating information, enriching and improving access to information sources and making them available to raise the efficiency and quality of the educational and research process, and to serve the employees of colleges and society and meet their information needs and achieve their satisfaction.

General Objective:

Facilitating the access of college students, its employees, and researchers from outside them to the various information vessels that are capable of enriching their scientific culture and organizing means of information in line with modern technologies in this field in a way that makes optimal use of one of the most important sources of learning. It also organizes work in the central library to facilitate access to faculty members, students and those looking for information.

Sixth: Field Training and Internship Department

It is a department that is concerned with following up the application of field experiences, linking the academic aspect with the practical and applied side, and developing it, through partnerships with the concerned authorities, measuring the opinion of the beneficiaries and working to raise the efficiency of university supervisors, the teaching staff, collaborators and students.

General Objective:

Supervising the training of students in private institutions, government sectors, and bodies related to college programs in accordance with the highest quality standards.

Seventh: Department of Study Plans and Programs:

A department that is concerned with building and developing study plans to improve educational outcomes and achieve their compatibility with academic accreditation standards, because of its positive reflection in keeping pace with development plans and meeting the needs of the labor market.

General Objective

1. Setting the necessary specifications and standards in building study plans and programs in line with the academic and program accreditation standards.

2. Establishing a community partnership with the public and private sectors with the aim of advancing and improving the level of study plans and programs in the college.

3. Academic cooperation with various universities and scientific institutions locally and regionally in order to achieve the quality of study plans and programs.

4. Evaluating academic plans and programs in academic departments and working to develop them in line with the mission and goals of the colleges in cooperation with the Quality, Development and Accreditation Center and the concerned authorities in the college.
